Upper Cervical Care and Sciatica

It may sound odd that a person needs to care for their upper neck vertebrae to alleviate the symptoms of sciatica in the lower back. However, there is a definite connection. A misalignment in the neck causes the spine to compensate and affects a person’s posture, hip alignment, and more. This twisting of the spine can easily irritate the sciatic nerve, one of the main reasons for sciatica. A misalignment of only ¼ of a millimeter can wreak havoc throughout the entire body. It can cause the brain and body to not communicate properly and lead to numerous health problems, including sciatica.

Once the misalignment is corrected, a patient’s have symptoms may improve dramatically, perhaps even after just a few adjustments. Once the body is allowed to function at its optimum, the natural healing process can begin, and a person can feel better and healthier overall.
